Last Night in Ferguson (10.21.14): A state senator was arrested (and mama may have been legally packing), one of the lead organizers, nettaaaaaaaa, was roughed up by police, and one of the main sources of footage/live feeds, Rebel Z, was detained in what seems to have been an intimidation and straight up harassment tactic. The police are out of control, and it’s only getting worse. If you think this is over, you need to look again. #staywoke #farfromover

Ferguson is still happening. Are you still paying attention?

Tune into Z’s UStream tonight to watch developments live.

"And it’s even worse because Bill Cosby has the fucking smuggest old black man public persona that I hate. ‘Pull your pants up, black people. I was on TV in the ’80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom.’ Yeah, but you raped women, Bill Cosby. So, brings you down a couple of notches. … I’ve done this bit onstage, and people don’t believe. People think I’m making it up. …That shit is upsetting. If you didn’t know about it, trust me. You leave here and google ‘Bill Cosby rape.’ It’s not funny."

Hannibal Buress, during his set Thursday at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia

13 women have accused Bill Cosby of rape — so why has America forgiven him?

13 women? And he’s never been arrested? Sure Bill Cosby is Bill Cosby but he’s still a black man in these United States. A serial rapist and no one’s heard anything about this?

I did not know this. How disgusting. He drugged and raped women and got away with it?

From the comedian: “It wasn’t my intention to make it part of a big discussion. It was just something I was doing at that venue.  It’s just information that’s out there.”

Black person on Tumblr: "Im finna go apply to this job"

Random user: "Well maybe if you knew how to speak properly you'd already have a job"

Black person: Language is merely a medium in which we communicate in and as such must be fluid in order to remain effective. I use such grammar because it is the easiest for anyone who happens upon my blog to digest and conveys my message in a manner where it cannot be misconstrued. Also, speaking formally in an informal forum gives off an air of superiority and needlessly complicates my message. A key part in oral language is reaching an understanding with your audience so as to keep them engaged and distraction free; imagine if I were to give a speech to 1st graders the way a doctor would speak to a med student, the audience would be bewildered by all the terms and would focus on their lack of understanding the words vs what's being said. In conclusion, this my blog and imma blog how I want

Manhattan's Mona-Lisa Answer:

john lennon syndrome is when a dumbass thinks they’re concerned about peace and social issues and believe they are in touch with nature when in reality they just say the n word, smoke weed, throw a bunch of hindu and buddhist imagery together and call it “inner peace,” and don’t shower. you probably know a lot of these people
